01 These four book were part of my research stage of
the project. To determine a visual style that would appeal most to people
in the demographic I wanted to attract. To answer this question I conducted
a second experiment. This entailed taking one site as my model and making
four books all containing the same narrative but each dealing with a different
aspect of design.
1. Typographic
2. Photographic
3. Illustrative
4. Diagrammatical
After this I asked people to give their comments on the varying styles
and to explain which was there favourite and why. This was not conclusive
but most thought the photograph option was the most appropriate. This
gave the best overall indication of what to expect from the site. It was
the general consensus that a mixture of the typographic and photographic
would be most appropriate. It was felt the clean Typographic style offered
a truthful quality, a good contrast too much of the existing literature
concerning these sites. |
