The idea of this project was to create a set of working glyphs which would represent six related objects. The objects which I chose all come from old skool Hip Hop culture. The idea was to take the basic shape of the image and ware it down till you are left with a stylelised impression of the original image.

At the inception of this project we were incouraged to research the development of writing in anchent civilisations such as the Sumerians, Egpytians, Greeks and Romans. I also attended lectures given by caligrapher to the Queen, Paul Antonio, in which he illustrated the evolution of writing styles through to the modern day.
